Best Beaches of Phuket

As you might expect from an island in a tropical atmosphere, Phuket is home to a number of beaches. Those purchasing or renting luxury villas on the island will want to make sure to pay a visit to them at some point.

Patong Beach is located on the lower western side of the island. It is arguably one of the most popular beaches on Phuket, known for its parties and very active nightlife. Restaurants, night clubs, beer bars, discos, and much more can all be found along or near the beach. As a result, Patong Beach tends to attract a younger crowd. If you are looking for a beach just to relax in the sun without dealing with lots of other things going on around you, this probably isn’t the beach of choice for you. However, if you are looking for one of the most active beaches on Phuket, then Patong Beach is a very good choice.

Karon Beach is one of the longest beaches on the island, and despite being one of the most popular tourist destinations on Phuket, usually has enough space available that anyone looking to spend a relaxing day there will not likely feel crowded. It is located along the southwest coast of the island. The southern end of the beach sees a lot of in-water activities such as snorkeling and diving. Koran Beach Road is good for a nice, relaxing stroll, while also making for a good place to go for a run. There is a pretty active nightlife at the beach, as well, with restaurants and dance clubs found nearby.

Kamala Beach is found on the central western coast of Phuket. Unlike many of the other beaches that are bustling with activity, Kamala tends to be a quieter beach. This makes it an ideal spot for people just looking to go to the beach for rest and relaxation. It tends to attract an older crowd than a lot of other beaches, as retirees like to spend time there away from the crowds and noise of the other beaches. The relaxed and quieter atmosphere makes this a good choice for those looking to spend a day at the beach with family.
